Q: What has your impression been after the first couple of months with new head coach Lorenzo Romar and his coaching staff?

A: Coach Romar and his staff have been great. They are really good guys to be around and are nice people. During workouts, they all push us to get better and they make sure we are on top of everything to be a good team and so we can win games.

Q: What are you most excited about with the change?

A: I'm excited for a new start and to see how Coach Romar will do things. Him coming from big programs, like Arizona and Washington, I'm excited to play for him. He's coached very good point guards in his coaching time and I hope I can be a product of that also.

Q: What was your favorite memory from this past season?

A: My favorite memory from last year is probably getting to play at Gonzaga and play in the atmosphere up there, which was a great experience. I would also say just getting to play with the guys from last year's team and to build that bond with those guys on the team.

Q: You had quite an impressive freshman year. Can you tell us what it was like playing in all 32 games and starting in all 32 games? Did you expect to play and start in this many games?

A: I wouldn't say I expected it to happen. It was my goal and I knew I was capable of it but I didn't fully expect it. Due to some injuries my name was called and Coach Wilson had enough trust in me to be out on the floor. It gave me a ton of confidence getting to start and play on the big stage against some of the really good teams we played.

Q: What did it mean to you to receive All-WCC honorable mention and WCC All-Freshman team honors?

A: It means a lot to receive those awards. I thank my coaches and teammates for putting me in that spot to be successful. To win those my freshman year are big. It has definitely helped my confidence for next season.

Q: Do you have personal goals that you are looking to achieve this upcoming season?

A: My personal goal is to win a WCC championship. That has always been my goal.  Another goal of mine is to become a better leader than I was last year and take up more of that role this year for the younger guys coming in.

Q: What can fans expect this upcoming season?

A: Fans can expect a new team with different types of players this year. They can expect us to play hard and be very hard working to try to get wins. With the new coaching staff, it will be a good transition to see how we will do and respond.

Q: What are your summer workouts like?

A: Summer workouts have been great so far. The intensity in the workouts is good for us and has pushed us to get better. We have been lifting and have been conditioning with Coach Young, which has been very helpful, we are getting stronger and definitely in better shape. Practices with the coaches are great, we are learning how Coach Romar wants us to play, which has been good and we are all starting to pick it up.
