Q: What has your impression been these first couple of months with Coach Lorenzo Romar and his coaching staff?

A: Coach Romar and his staff have been nothing but great these first few months. We are quickly building relationships with them off the court and on the court. They are pushing us and teaching us the new system. The staff is full of experienced, genuine men who want us to succeed and it has shown since they first arrived.

Q: What are you most excited about with the change?

A: With the new coaching change I am most excited about adapting to a new playing style that will fit our team and personnel nicely. Everyone seems to be buying in to the new system so I'm just excited for us to continue to improve and grow.

Q: How excited are you to be playing with your brother Kessler this upcoming season?

A: The opportunity to play college basketball with my brother is almost surreal. I am grateful to have such a close relationship with him and playing with him is something I know I will always look back and be proud of. Not too many people get an opportunity like that so I just want to focus on making the most of it.

Q: What has basketball taught you that carries over into other areas of your life?

A: Basketball has taught me many valuable life lessons. One thing it has taught me is teamwork and how to get along with others to achieve a common goal. It has also given me a good work ethic that carries over to the classroom and other areas of life. It has also prepared me to deal life's hardships and when things don't go your way.

Q: What was your favorite memory from this past season?

A: My favorite memory from this past season was the time spent with my teammates off the court. Last season didn't go as we expected but the relationships that were built and memories that were shared are something I can look back and be happy about.

Q: Do you have any rituals that you must perform before a game and why?

A: One ritual I have before games is praying. We pray as a team but I also like to say my own prayer before stepping on the court. I like to thank God for another opportunity to play the game I love and just pray that I perform to the best of my ability as a form of praise to Him.

Q: In what area do you feel you've improved the most over the last year?

A: One area I've definitely improved in is shooting. Freshman year, I only made one three-pointer all season. Last year I began to show glimpses of improvement. Now I want shooting to be a key part of my game and be able to score from all areas. I still have a long way to go but I am improving day by day, which is something I am proud of.

Q: What is the most exciting thing that you have done this summer?

A: The most exciting thing I've done this summer is go to Disneyland with my family. I was excited since I hadn't been to Disneyland in a while and it was a nice to spend the day with my family since it was one of Kessler and my last days at home before beginning summer workouts.
