The championships once again return to Gulf Shores, Ala., where the Waves boast a dual record of 5-1 and an individual match record of 33-6 (.846). Seeded second, the Waves earned a bye into the quarterfinals and will face either Stetson or #4 Florida State on Friday. A win would advance Pepperdine to Saturday's semifinal, while a loss would relegate the Waves to the back draw where they would have to win once more on Friday in order to continue. The national champion will be crowned on Saturday afternoon. A pairs championship follows on Sunday, with two Pepperdine duos expected to make the field.
