No. 27 Men's Tennis Selected to Baton Rouge Regional for NCAA Tournament

MALIBU, Calif. — No. 27 Pepperdine men's tennis has received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will head to the Baton Rouge Regional hosted by LSU, with the opening two rounds set for May 1-2.
The Waves will take on No. 39 Michigan on Friday at 12 p.m. PT in the Round of 64. LSU will battle Alabama State in the other round of 64 matchup, with the two winners then squaring off Saturday at 3 p.m. PT.

Pepperdine boasts a 7-2 all-time record against Michigan, with the most recent meeting coming in 2013. Pepperdine has won the past three matchups which spanned from 2009-13.
Pepperdine has posted a 17-9 overall record this season and secured a share of the West Coast Conference (WCC) Regular Season Title with a 6-1 mark in the conference.
The Waves posted 11 ranked victories on the season, including a top-five win at home over Stanford in February.
In doubles, Pisaric and Poertner plus Hugh Winter and Edward Winter received All-WCC Second Team recognition. Homberg and Almeida also received honorable mention in doubles.
