MALIBU, Calif. - Three members of the Pepperdine track team were in action the last couple of days at the prestigious Mt. Sac Relays and the Cal State Los Angeles Twilight Open.

Senior Lauren Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton HS) ran the women's 5,000 meters in the Open "C" race at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif., on Friday. She finished 23rd of 32 runners in a time of 17:15.30. It was actually the first time in seven races this season that Lodge didn't set a school record (she holds Pepperdine's best times in the 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000).

The last collegiate race for senior Aneasha Lawrence (Simi Valley, Calif./Village Christian HS) took place in the women's 800 meters at Cal State L.A. on Thursday. She placed 15th out of 29 runners with a time of 2:21.24. Lawrence set the school record in the 800 earlier this summer.

Finally, junior Wesley Blundell (Brush Prairie, Wash./Prairie HS) ran the men's 10,000 meters at Cal State L.A. on Thursday, but he dropped out close to halfway through the race. Blundell is Pepperdine's record holder in both the 5,000 and 10,000.

The next event on Pepperdine's schedule is the Occidental Invitational on Saturday, May 5.
