Logged 34.1 innings, allowed 38 hits, 13 runs (10 earned), walked 17 and struck out 41 while limiting opposing batters to a .224 average . . . Made 10 relief appearances in WCC play and posted a 2.45 ERA while working 18.1 innings . . . Pitched 0.1 inning to earn a win vs. UC Irvine (3-15) . . . Struck out a season-high four batters while pitching 2.1 innings of relief at Santa Clara (3-19) . . . First start of the season came at USC (4-5) where he pitched three innings, allowed four hits, two unearned runs, walked one and struck out two while receiving a no-decision . . . Started vs. Long Beach State (4-12) and worked a season-high four innings, allowing five hits, two runs and striking out a season-high tying four to earn the victory.
2004: Made 24 appearances, including two starts . . . Registered a 1-2 record and 5.67 ERA . . . In 54.0 innings, allowed 70 hits, 35 runs (34 earned), walked 18 and struck out 35 . . . Longest outing of the season came versus Washington State (3-15) when he worked 5.2 innings, allowed six hits, three runs, walked two and struck out three . . . Fanned a season-high five batters while pitching in relief at San Francisco (5-22) . . . Only two starts came versus Cal State Northridge (2-27) and versus Santa Clara (3-22).
2003: Appeared in 12 games, starting four, and registered a 3-2 record and 5.08 ERA . . . Worked 39.0 innings, allowed 46 hits, 22 earned runs, walked 16 and struck out 25 . . . First career appearance came in relief against Coastal Carolina (3-16) when he worked one inning, allowed two hits, two runs and walked two . . . Logged a career-high three innings of relief on three occasions: at Cal State Northridge (3-25), at UC Irvine (4-8) and at Gonzaga (5-18) . . . Earned first career victory versus Loyola Marymount (4-12) after pitching a scoreless inning . . . Made first career start at UC Riverside and picked up a win after working five innings, allowing seven hits, two runs, walking two and striking out three . . . Struck out a career-high five batters in 5.1 innings versus Cal State Northridge (4-29) . . . Pitched a career-high seven innings and received a no-decision after allowing five hits, two runs, walking two and striking out four versus UCLA (5-13).
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at McQueen High in Reno, Nevada . . . Tabbed the High Desert League's "Pitcher of the Year" as a senior after recording a 9-1 record and 3.17 earned-run average . . .
