Sever's stellar play in his first season of professional ball landed him a spot as an all-star.
Eighteen student-athletes earned All-American honors and 51 were all-conference.

Batted .366 to lead the team with six home runs and tallied a team-high 53 RBI ... Also had 16 doubles ... Drew two walks, was hit by a pitch and stole a base ... Made one error in 24 chances at his position ... Smacked a two-run double to right center as part of a four-run fifth inning in game one (11/6) and later scored an unearned run on a passed ball ... Led off game two (11/7) with a double and later scored Orange's lone run of the contest in a 2-1 loss ... Drew a walk in leading off game three 911/10) and scored the first of five Orange runs that frame in an eventual 5-2 victory ... In game four (11/13), doubled in and scored a run as part of a two-run fifth inning for Orange in its 4-0 triumph ... Reached base three times in game five (11/14) but twice was thrown out at home plate in the first and third innings.
2010/SUMMER: Played for the Willmar (Minn.) Stingers of the Northwoods League ... Hit .267 with two home runs and 19 RBI ... Ripped six home runs, two home runs and scored 23 runs ... Stole five bases in six attempts ... Hit both round-trippers vs. Alexandria on 7/28 and 8/13 and also enjoyed a three-hit game against the Beetles on 6/9 ... Started all 54 games at second base and led Pepperdine with a .310 batting average, 37 runs scored and three triples ... 13 of his 19 RBI came with two outs as he posted a .420 average with one out to spare and had success advancing runners 49 percent of the time ... One of only three Waves to start and play every game ... After going 5-for-5 vs. Oregon, went 3-for-4 vs. the Mustangs and 4-for-6 vs. the Matadors ... Blasted his lone home run - a two-run shot - in a 19-3 win over Brown (3/6) ... Matched his season game high of two RBI in later games vs. East Carolina (3/12) and at Loyola Marymount (5/16) ... Batted .462 in three-game series vs. Lions (5/14-16) with five runs ... 2009/FALL: Hit a leadoff solo home run off Robert Dickmann to start game two (11/14) of the Blue and Orange World Series ... Was one of two hits he recorded that weekend, including a single in game three (11/15) ... Thrown out trying to steal second base (3-6) following that single ... Started all three games of series at second base, and in game three, leaped to catch a rising line drive with runners in scoring position.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2009 from Bellarmine College Prep where he was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Gary Cunningham ... Named to the All-Conference and Section first teams, and was voted team MVP, following a senior campaign in which he batted .496 with six home runs, 11 stolen bases and 34 RBI ... As a junior, batted .436 with three home runs, eight stolen bases and drove in 35 runs en route to being named to the All-WCAC first team and All-CCS second team ... Produced 56 hits as a senior, which is the second highest season total in the school's history ... Also lettered in football and received the designation of San Jose High School Athlete of the Year among numerous individual and team accolades ...
