Orange Offense Erupts to Force Game Four

Aaron Brown allowed one run in six innings and hit a three-run homer for Team Orange

Malibu, Calif. – Freshman Hutton Moyer and sophomore Austin Davidson led the way for Team Orange as they each had three hits in the 11-2 victory over Team Blue Wednesday afternoon at Eddy D. Field Stadium. With the win, Team Orange (1-2) forces a game four in the 2012 Blue and Orange World Series.

Moyer, who went 4-for-4 in a game two loss, also collected a pair of RBI and scored three runs for Team Orange. Sophomore Aaron Brown enjoyed a productive day on the mound and at the plate. The left-hander tossed six innings for the victory allowing one run off two hits. At the plate, Brown went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer to put the game out of reach in the seven- run seventh. 

Sam Meyer and Drew Hacker also had two hits for Team Orange.

Eric Karch suffered the loss for Team Blue. Karch allowed three earned runs in 4.2 innings.  Bryan Langlois and David Oppenheim drove in the only runs for Team Blue.

The Blue and Orange World Series continues on Saturday with game four, scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. start. Right-hander Corey Miller will face off against right-hander Jackson McClelland in a rematch of game one.
