Men's Basketball Adds Hart, Pastorek to Staff

Jason Hart is Syracuse's all-time leader in steals and played in the NBA for nine years.

Matt Levy served the Pepperdine men's basketball staff as its graduate assistant/video coordinator for two seasons (2010-11 and 2011-12).

A recent graduate of Indiana University and a Southern California native, Levy pursued a master's degree in American Studies at Pepperdine in addition to his basketball duties.

He graduated from Indiana in 2010 with a degree in kinesiology. While there, he served as an assistant coach for both the varsity and junior varsity teams at Bloomington North High School for three seasons and an assistant coach with the eighth-grade team at Jackson Creek Middle School for one season.

Levy was an honors student at Indiana who earned a Browning Scholarship Award and an IU Faculty Award.

He has been a coach at Pepperdine, UCLA and Double Pump basketball camps during previous summers. Levy graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory in West Hills, Calif., in 2005.
