Pepperdine alum and former player Ricky Fois spent two seasons as a graduate manager with the men's basketball staff.
Fois, who graduated in 2009 with a degree in integrated marketing communications, played one season for the Waves. He was a walk-on during the 2007-08 season. Fois earned an MBA at Pepperdine while serving as a graduate manager during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.
"Having Ricky as a member of our basketball staff is very valuable in many ways," Pepperdine Coach Marty Wilson said. "He is a former player and a current graduate school student, so he knows Pepperdine and can assist our players because he's experienced everything that they are going through. More importantly, he is a tireless worker who is eager to help, learn and grow in order to be successful as a basketball coach. He is also a person that build great rapport with our players and that will go a long way."
A native of Olbia, Italy, Fois played on the Italian U-16 National Team for two years, and competed at the 2003 U-16 European Championships. After graduating from Pepperdine, he returned to Italy and played professionally in the third division with Osimo and Firenze.
Fois attended Liceo Linguistico Olbia in Italy before coming to the U.S. when he was 17 years old. He spent his senior year at Boaz (Ala.) High School in 2004-05 as an exchange student and played basketball for the Pirates.
