Pepperdine ends the regular season at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational this week.
Five Waves placed in the top 20, led by Frederick Wedel's tie for fourth place.

Play begins Monday at 7:30 a.m. at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
The Waves will be in action again at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate on Oct. 12-14.

CAREER: Played in 11 tournaments and 32 rounds over his two seasons ... Had a stroke average of 77.25.
PEPPERDINE 2012-13: Took part in four tournaments as a sophomore ... Averaged 76.67 strokes in 12 rounds ... Took third place out of a field of 33 at a separate event for individuals at the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational ... Shot an even-par 211 (69-72-72) ... The 2-under 69 in the first round was a season best.
PEPPERDINE 2011-12: Saw action in seven tournaments and 20 rounds as a freshman ... Averaged 77.60 strokes ... Was in the lineup six times and played as an individual once ... Tied for 18th place at the Folino Invitational (75-71-79=225) ... The 1-under 71 in the second round was a season best.
JUNIOR/AMATEUR GOLF: Earned 2009-10 All-American third team honors from the Future Collegians World Tour ... Named Golfweek's National Junior Player of the Week in December 2009 after winning the FCWT's ASU Challenge ... Placed in the top 32 at the 2010 Arizona Amateur ... Ranked among the nation's top 110 players in the class of 2011 by Junior Golf Scoreboard.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Gilbert (Ariz.) Christian High School in 2011 ... Finished sixth in Arizona's Division III state tournament as a senior ... Previously placed second at the 1A/2A state tournament as a junior and fifth as both a freshman and sophomore ... Made the all-state first team as a senior and junior ... Holds the all-time scoring record at Gilbert Christian ... Also played four years of basketball and won a state championship his junior year ... Kept a 4.0 grade-point average and earned a community service award.
PERSONAL: Born in Chandler, Ariz. ... Son of Dan and Nancy Roberts ... Has one sibling, Quade ... His cousin, Thomas Burnett, Jr., was a Pepperdine alum who was one of the heroes of Flight 93 on September 11 (Pepperdine's Heroes Garden was dedicated to him) ... An uncle, Dave Breen, was an All-American water polo player at Arizona ... Two other cousins played college water polo at UC Davis ... Traveled to Africa for two weeks while a sophomore in high school ... Chose Pepperdine because it is "one of the best universities in the nation, its religious background and its amazing golf team."
