Men's Golf Begins Spring Season at TPC Sawgrass
Darkness halted play late during Monday's second round.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - TPC Sawgrass and The Players Stadium Course proved to be a tough test for the Pepperdine men's golf team during the first day of play on Monday at the Sea Best Invitational.
Teams were unable to finish the second round due to darkness, so they'll be back out on the par-72 course at 8 a.m. ET on Tuesday to finish up and then play the third round.
Current standings are unofficial on Golfstat, though they show the Waves in 13th place with a score of 52-over. They shot a 320 during Monday's morning round but were on pace for an improved score in the afternoon.
Sophomore Frederick Wedel (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands HS) was the lone Wave able to complete his second round and he had the team's best round of the day, a 2-over 74. With a couple of holes left to finish according to Golfstat, senior Jeremy Sanders (Chatsworth, Calif./New Community Jewish HS/Redlands) has the team's best overall score of 8-over.
Pepperdine's other three players in the lineup are senior Parker Page (Louisville, Ky./Ballard HS), junior Kevin DeHuff (Coto de Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic HS) and sophomore Cameron Davison (Duncan, B.C., Canada/Duncan Christian HS).
