Mac Arthur Leads Waves Through Two Rounds of U.S. Intercollegiate

Johnny Mac Arthur continues to lead the Pepperdine men's golf team through two rounds of the U.S. Intercollegiate, as his effort on Saturday moved him into the top 20 on the individual leaderboard.
The Waves moved up one place as a team, but are tied for 15th place heading into Sunday's final round at the par-70 Stanford Golf Course. Pepperdine has shot 601 (295-306) and is tied with UC Davis.
Mac Arthur (Newhall, Calif./Hart HS) had the best round for the Waves for the second straight day. A 3-over 73 gave him a two-round total of a 4-over 144 (71-73), good for a tie for 18th place. He'll be trying for his seventh top-20 finish in 10 tournaments this season.
As for the rest of the Waves, senior Josh Anderson (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley HS) is tied for 45th place at 148 (73-75), sophomore Parker Page (Louisville, Ky./Ballard HS) is tied for 63rd at 152 (74-78), freshman Kevin DeHuff (Coto de Caza, Calif./Rancho Santa Margarita HS) is tied for 84th at 158 (77-81) and sophomore Alex Forss (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak HS) is tied for 86th at 159 (79-80).
