Wedel Wraps Up Golf Season at NCAA Regional
Frederick Wedel placed 66th in the regional hosted by Oregon.

EUGENE, Ore. - Frederick Wedel wrapped up the 2013-14 season for the Pepperdine men's golf team on Saturday with the conclusion of the NCAA Men's Golf Regional being hosted by the University of Oregon.
Wedel (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands HS) ended up in 66th place with a three-day total of 235 (79-77-79) at the par-72 Eugene Country Club. The sophomore had a total of eight birdies in the tournament, including two on Saturday.
Wedel earned a spot as an individual at the regional after leading the Waves with a 72.97 stroke average and receiving All-West Coast Conference honorable mention honors.
The top five teams (Stanford, Oregon, Oklahoma, Houston and South Carolina) and the low-scoring player from the non-qualifying teams or the individuals (Chattanooga's Chris Robb) advanced to the NCAA Championships.
