Sanders' Big Finish Leads Men's Golf in Second Round in Tennessee

Jeremy Sanders birdied four of his final five holes en route to a 2-under 70 to lead the Pepperdine men's golf team during the second round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate on Saturday.
The Waves moved up two spots and into 10th place with a total of 586 (295-291). The third and final round at the par-72 Blackthorn Club at the Ridges will be held on Sunday.
Junior Parker Page (Louisville, Ky./Ballard HS) leads the Waves with a 1-over 145 (73-72), which is good for a tie for 24th place. His even-par round on Saturday included an eagle on the par-5 eighth hole and two birdies.
Sanders (Chatsworth, Calif./New Community Jewish HS/Univ. of Redlands), a junior, went all the way from a tie for 60th place to a tie for 34th place thanks to his season-best round. He's at a 2-over 146 (76-70). He had two birdies on his front nine and was standing at 2-over after 13 holes before his big finish.
Senior Johnny Mac Arthur (Newhall, Calif./Hart HS) is tied for 46th place at 148 (73-75), freshman Cody McManus (Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista HS) is tied for 55th place at 150 (76-74) and sophomore Kevin DeHuff (Coto de Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic HS) is tied for 59th place at 151 (73-78). McManus posted three birdies during his second round and Mac Arthur had two.
