Waves Through Two Rounds in Hawaii
Pepperdine's final round of the fall season is on Wednesday.

PRINCEVILLE, Kauai, Hawaii - Frederick Wedel continued to thrive and the Pepperdine men's golf team improved by four strokes during Tuesday's second round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational.
Pepperdine has an even-par 576 (290-286) at the par-72 Princeville Makai Golf Club. The Waves had a 2-under 286 on Tuesday as Wedel (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands HS) and senior Jeremy Sanders (Chatsworth, Calif./New Community Jewish HS/Redlands) were both under par for the second straight day and senior Parker Page (Louisville, Ky./Ballard HS) was at par.
Unfortunately, the Waves couldn't make any move in the team standings are still in 13th place overall. The third and final round (which is also Pepperdine's final round of the fall season) is Wednesday.
Wedel's second straight sub-par round has put him into a tie for 18th place with a 4-under 140 (71-69). His score of 3-under today matched the sophomore's best collegiate round. His day included seven birdies, including on all four of the par-5s.
Sanders had his second straight 1-under 71 and he's tied for 34th place with a 2-under 142. He had three birdies and two bogeys during his round.
Page is tied for 60th with a 2-over 146 (74-72). Also, sophomore Nick Thomas (Westlake Village, Calif./Chaminade College Prep/California) is tied for 67th at 148 (74-74) and junior Kevin DeHuff (Coto de Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic HS) is tied for 88th at 154 (77-77). DeHuff had four birdies and Page and Thomas each had three.
