Scott Wong returns to Pepperdine for a second season after enjoying a successful four-year career as a player for the Waves from 1998-2001.

Wong¹s coaching experience consists of serving as head coach for SMBC 16¹s men¹s team in 2002 and leading the Oaks Christian High School Girls team.

The 6-foot-5 Wong is enjoying tremendous success on the AVP pro beach tour. Twice in 2005 he finished as high as third, equaling his career-best finish.

He finished the year as the No. 17 player earning over $25,000. Wong has been active on the AVP tour since 2002.

After expiring his college eligibility, Wong earned a spot on the 2001 US National team in the World League and was honored as the Flag Bearer during the 2001 World University Games in Beijing, China, where he helped lead the team to the Gold medal.

As a Wave, Wong was a three-time American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American as well as a 1999 All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) first team selection. As a freshman he was tabbed ³Freshman of the Year² by both the AVCA and MPSF. His 807 career digs still stands as the best mark by a Wave in school history.

The Pearl City, Hawaii, native recently completed work on his Master¹s Degree in Education at Loyola Marymount University.
