PEPPERDINE 2018: Played in one set in his true freshman season … Tallied two kills and a .333 hitting percentage for two points against Cal Lutheran (Jan. 7).

USA VOLLEYBALL/CLUB: Earned a bronze medal at the 2017 Junior Olympics … Played for SCVA International Team in the summer of 2016 and won a bronze medal at the HP Championships… Spent his senior campaign with MB Surf and also played from Bones VBC from 5th to 11th grades … Helped team place 3rd in the SCVA 2016 Holiday Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Westlake High School in 2017 … Lettered three seasons as an opposite and outside hitter for his father and head coach Doug Magorien in the Marmonte League … AVCA All-American second team in 2017 … Marmonte League MVP, All-Ventura Country first team, All-Daily News first team and All-CIF Division I first team as a senior … Named All-Tournament for the Best of the West, All-Tournament Karch Kiraly SB Tournament, All Tournament Dos Pueblos in senior campaign …. PERSONAL: Son of Doug and Lisa Magorien … Has three brothers, Taylor, Travis and Colby … Father Doug is a P.E. teacher and the volleyball coach, while his mother Lisa is a vice principal … All three brothers played collegiate volleyball (Taylor, Robert Morris; Travis, CSUN; Colby, CSUN and Robert Morris) … Majoring in Sport Administration at Pepperdine ... Stated that his biggest sports heroes are his family, “because my mom has taught me to be a hard worker, my father has taught me how to be a good team player, Travis helped me with the mental aspect of the game, Colby helped with drive and passion and to always do my best, and Taylor taught me to love the game.”
