2014 Men's Water Polo Schedule Announced
Head Coach Terry Schroeder will begin his 22nd season at the helm for the men's water polo team this year.

MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine Men’s Water Polo Head Coach Terry Schroeder has announced the Waves’ 2014 schedule, which will feature four early season tournaments to go along with the team’s eight Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matches.
The Waves open the season at the Whittier Tournament on Sept. 6 and host LMU on Sept. 12 for their first home game.
MPSF play kicks off on Sept. 27 when the Waves host six-time defending NCAA champions USC for a 1 p.m. game. Pepperdine also has conference home games against Cal (Oct. 25), Stanford (Oct. 26) and UC Irvine (Nov. 1) on the schedule. The Waves travel to UCLA (Oct. 3), Long Beach State (Oct. 18), UC Santa Barbara (Nov.8) and Pacific (Nov. 16) for their four MPSF road games.
The Nov. 16 contest at Pacific will be the final game of the regular season before MPSF tournament play kicks off. The MPSF tournament will run Nov. 21-23, with the winner advancing to the NCAA tournament Dec. 6-7.
Along with the Whittier Tournament, the Waves will compete in the UCLA Mini Tournament on Sept. 13, the NorCal Tournament hosted by Pacific (Sept. 20-21) and the SoCal tournament hosted by UCLA (Oct. 11-12).
Pepperdine is coming off a 9-13 season in which the team tied for seventh in the MPSF. Schroeder returns for his second season since returning to Pepperdine after a seven-year hiatus coaching the US National Team. It is his 22nd year overall as the Waves’ head coach.
