Asha Jordan is in her first season as the Waves' director of operations in 2012-13.

Jordan comes to Pepperdine after severing as a volunteer assistant during the 2011-12 season for the Winthrop women's basketball team.

During her season in Rock Hill, S.C., the Eagles went 18-13 marking the second most wins in a year since moving to the Division I level in 1986. Winthrop also broke an additional 45 school records including the most conference wins in a season (12), highest points per game average (69.6), 3-point field goals made in a single game (17) and in a single season (236).

Jordan aided the Eagles in scouting, film breakdown, play diagraming, recruiting and team travel coordination.

From January to May of 2011, Jordan served as a special projects intern for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

Jordan began her coaching career in 2009 at Anderson University in South Carolina where she served as an assistant coach. Primarily working with guards, Jordan guided one all-conference first team performer in Alexa Neal. The Trojans won the Conference Carolinas Tournament championship to earn their seventh-consecutive bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

As a player, Jordan competed at Albany and Southern Indiana before finishing her career at Occidental. At Oxy, she was a two-year captain and led the Tigers to their first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 2008. Oxy once again reached the tournament in 2009 after setting a new program record for wins in a season with 22.

She graduated in 2009 with an undergraduate degree in economics and went on to obtain a master's degree in youth development leadership from Clemson in 2011.

A native of Fort Wayne, Ind., she now resides in Calabasas, Calif.
