In the final quarter, Pepperdine again trailed by as much as six, but got a three from Bordonaro and two layups from Robinson-Bacote to go on a 7-2 run and cut it to a one-point game nearing the five-minute mark. With 3:53 to play, Robinson-Bacote completed a three-point play to give the Waves a 59-58 lead.

The Toreros got off a three in the final seconds, but it went long and Robinson-Bacote came up with the rebound. She would hit a free throw to seal the win with less than a second left.
