SERIES VS. UTAH: First meeting.

SERIES VS. WEBER STATE: The Waves are 2-0 all-time against the Wildcats. The teams have not met since 1980 and have never played in Ogden.

LAST WEEK: The Waves went 1-1 last week, responding to a narrow 75-74 loss at UC Irvine with a strong 71-44 win at home over Utah Valley. The 27-point win on Saturday was the Waves’ largest margin of victory since 2011.

SECOND-HALF SURGE: Pepperdine used a red-hot second half to come back from a first-half deficit against Utah Valley on Saturday, outscoring the Wolverines 46-16 in the final two quarters. Pepperdine shot a blistering 92.3%, going 12-for-13 from the field and 3-for-3 from long range in the fourth quarter. Yasmine Robinson-Bacote outscored the visitors 17-16 on her own in the second half, finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds on the day. Her 9-for-10 shooting in the game matched the second best field goal percentage in program history.

YRB FILE: Robinson-Bacote has been on fire to start the season, leading the team with 22.6 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game to currently sit 11th in the nation and first in the WCC in scoring. The junior forward has four double-doubles on the year, including a career-best 34 points and 16 rebounds against Idaho State. She has led the Waves in scoring in all but one contest and earned WCC Player of the Week honors on 11/20/17.

CARTER’S CAREER WEEK: Graduate transfer Tylinn Carter had a career week, putting up a career-high 23 points at UC Irvine and then following that with 12 points and nine rebounds against Utah Valley.

SUPPORTING CAST: Peyton Langston has been a welcome addition to the Pepperdine rotation, scoring in double figures four of her first seven games in a Wave uniform after transferring from Evansville. Langston is second on the team with 10.0 ppg. Kim Jacobs picked up her first start last game and was second on the team with 13 points in the win over Utah Valley. Pepperdine has had at least three players score in double-digits each game this season and four players score 10 or more in three contests so far. Seven Waves are averaging at least 5.0 ppg.
