Women's Golf Wraps Up Play at Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge
The Waves are back in action on Feb. 25-26 at the UC Irvine Invitational.

PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Alina Ching had the Waves' best round of the day as the Pepperdine women's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the spring season, the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, on Tuesday.
Going up against the best field that they'll see all season, the Waves took 15th place overall with a score of 910 (301-303-306). At the start of the tournament, according to the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, the event included the nation's top four teams as well as seven of the top 10 and 11 of the top 25.
Senior Grace Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS), a three-time All-American and three-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year, had the best overall finish for the Waves. She tied for 25th place at 222 (72-73-77). She was followed by another senior, Liv Cheng (Auckland, New Zealand), who tied for 38th at 226 (77-73-76).
Playing as an individual, junior Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS), tied for 49th place at 228 (76-77-75).
Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) had a 3-over 74 on the day and tied for 71st place at 233 (77-82-74). She also had a team-high three birdies today. Sophomore Marissa Chow (Honollu, Hawaii/Iolani HS) tied for 74th at 234 (76-78-80), as did freshman Alessandra Arza (Asuncion, Paraguay) with a 234 (76-79-79).
