The Waves shot a 306 for the second straight day and are tied with Oregon with a total of 612 at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club. The final round is on Wednesday.
It's a very strong field, with six of Golfstat's top 10 in attendance. Nine of the 16 schools are rated in the top 25 and 15 of the 16 are in the top 50. The Waves, rated 34th, are currently ahead of three top 20-ranked teams.
Junior Grace Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS) had the best round of the day for the Waves, a 3-over 74, and she moved up seven spots and into a tie for 23rd place at 149 (75-74). She had a team-best three birdies on the day.
Sophomore Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS) is tied for 42nd at 153 (74-79), freshman Marissa Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS) is tied for 49th at 154 (78-76), junior Danielle Gillaspy (Santa Maria, Calif./St. Joseph's HS) is tied for 59th at 156 (79-77) and sophomore Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) is tied for 72nd at 161 (82-79). Playing as an individual, junior Liv Cheng (Auckland, New Zealand) is tied for 59th at 156 (80-76). Gillaspy and Lee each posted two birdies on Tuesday.
