Na Wins 'Anuenue Spring Break Classic

Grace Na won her third collegiate golf tournament on Wednesday as she captured the `Anuenue Spring Break Classic by a whopping five strokes. The Waves came in fourth overall.
Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS) shot a 10-under 206 (67-71-68) to win the event. She previously was the medalist at the 2011 Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown and the 2011 West Coast Conference Championships. Na was the co-leader after the first round and was in second after two rounds.
Na's final-round 4-under 68 included six birdies, three on the front nine and three on the back nine. Na had a total of 16 birdies over the three days, three more than any other player.
As a team, the Waves shot a 5-over 869 (285-296-288) at the par-72 Kapalua Bay Course. UCLA (854), Washington (858) and Arizona State (862) finished ahead of Pepperdine. The Waves beat a couple of higher-ranked teams in Stanford and UC Davis.
Freshman Marissa Chow (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS) posted her second straight top-10 finish with a 1-under 215 (71-75-69), good for a tie for ninth place.
The 10-under for Na and the 1-under for Chow both marked career bests.
Sophomore Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) tied for 28th place at 221 (75-70-76), sophomore Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS) tied for 53rd at 230 (72-83-75) and junior Danielle Gillaspy (Santa Maria, Calif./St. Joseph's HS) tied for 69th at 234 (75-80-79).
The Waves play their final regular-season event at The Farms Invitational on March 31-April 2.
