Women's Golf Tied for Third at Farms Through Two Rounds

The Waves entered the day tied for third with Texas and ended it still tied for third, now with eighth-ranked Arizona. Pepperdine improved its score by two strokes, going from 303 on Monday to 301 on Tuesday, good for a total of 604 at the par-72 Farms Golf Club. The third and final round is on Tuesday.
Cheng (Auckland, New Zealand/Macleans College), a junior, moved up a spot into sole possession after her second straight 1-over 73. Her score of a 2-over 146 is three shots behind the leader and one out of second place. Cheng had two birdies and three bogeys on Monday.
Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS), a freshman, improved by a stroke and jumped up into a tie for ninth place. She's at 149 (75-74). Chow had a team-high three birdies on Monday.
Also in the lineup, sophomore Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) is tied for 25th place at 153 (76-77), junior Grace Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS) is tied for 39th at 156 (79-77) and junior Danielle Gillaspy (Santa Maria, Calif./St. Joseph's HS) is tied for 61st at 164 (84-80).
Competing as an individual, sophomore Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS) is tied for 30th at 154 (77-77).
This is the final regular-season event for the Waves, who move on to the West Coast Conference Championships on April 15-17.
