Women's Golf Gets Stanford Intercollegiate Underway

Grace Na shot a 1-over 72 to lead the Pepperdine women's golf team in its first round of play at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Friday.
As a team, the Waves shot a total of 301 for 13th place. There are single rounds still to play on Saturday and Sunday at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course.
Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS), a junior and a two-time All-American, is tied for 17th place. She had a total of three birdies during her round.
Sophomore Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS) is tied for 39th place at 75, freshman Marissa Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS) is tied for 52nd place at 76, junior Liv Cheng (Auckland, New Zealand) is tied for 70th place at 78 and sophomore Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) is in 87th place at 81.
Lee recorded two birdies on Friday while Cheng, Ching and Chow each had one.
