Na's Flawless Day Leads Waves in 2nd Round at Stanford

Grace Na, the Pepperdine women's golf team improved by 10 strokes and moved up a couple of spots after Saturday's second round at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
The Waves are now tied with UC Davis for 11th place. The Waves have shot 301-291 for a total of 592. The third and final round is on Sunday at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course.
With a strong finish tomorrow, Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS) could add to her tremendous start to the 2012-13 season. She moved up 13 spots on the leaderboard and is now tied for fourth place with a 2-under 140 (72-68). Her day consisted of birdies on the 11th, fourth and eighth holes and she had zero bogeys.
Na's results so far this season consists of a tie for fourth place at the Dick McGuire Invitational and a tie for second at the Golfweek Conference Challenge.
Junior Liv Cheng (Auckland, New Zealand) and sophomore Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) also had good days that improved their place in the standings. Cheng had a 2-over 73 and is now tied for 54th place at 151 (78-73), while Ching had a team-high five birdies and posted a 1-over 72. She is tied for 62nd place at 153 (81-72).
