Women's Golf Wraps Up Play at Stanford Intercollegiate
Grace Na ties for fifth place, Marissa Chow's 1-over is the team's best round of the day.

Grace Na recorded her third top-five finish in three tournaments and Marissa Chow had the team's best round of the day as the Pepperdine women's golf team wrapped up play at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday.
In an event that featured an extremely strong field, the Waves finished in 12th place as a team with a total of 890 (301-291-298) at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course. Eight of the 11 teams were nationally ranked in Golfweek's top 15 (Pepperdine was #19).
Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS), a junior who is a two-time All-American, began her season with a tie for fourth place at the Dick McGuire Invitational and a tie for second at the Golfweek Conference Challenge, and she added to her great start with a tie for fifth place at Stanford. She shot an even-par 213 (72-68-73), the third straight event where she's finished at par or better. She had two birdies during her final round.
Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS), a freshman, was able to move up 10 spots in the final standings thanks to a 1-over 72 that included three birdies. She tied for 58th place with a total of 226 (76-78-72)
Junior Liv Cheng (Auckland, New Zealand) also tied for 58th at 226 (78-73-75), sophomore Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS) tied for 74th at 232 (75-79-78) and sophomore Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) placed 86th at 241 (81-72-88). Lee also had three birdies on the day.
The Waves' final fall tournament is the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas from Oct. 28-30.
