Waves Women's Soccer Looks to Defend WCC Title as They Forge Their Own Path in 2012

Pepperdine opens the 2012 season on Friday against San Diego at Tari Frahm Rokus Field

PEPPERDINE 2012: Saw no action as a freshman.

CLUB: Competed for the Eagles Soccer Club, Samba, Real SoCal and Conejo Valley United.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, Calif., in 2012 ... Was a three year letterwinner for head coach Sebastian Alvarado ... Scored over 50 goals during her high school career ...Helped team win CIF-SS-D4 championship in 2011 and 2012 and California State Championship in 2011 and 2012 ... As a senior she tallied 30 goals and 17 assists and was named First Team All-Tri-Valley League, First Team All-CIF and All-LA County ... As a junior in 2010-11 she scored 21 goals and collected 15 assists, earning First Team All-Tri-Valley honors and was named All-CIF second team ... Also lettered in tennis where she was a CIF finalist in doubles her senior season ... Was named a Lion Scholar for having above a 3.0 GPA.

FAVORITES: Enjoys going to the beach and going to concerts ... Favorites include Abby Wambach (soccer player), The Titanic (movie), Workaholics (TV show), sushi (food) and tennis and football (sports other than soccer) ... Favorite thing about soccer is "The competition, time to get my mind off the stresses of everyday life and the strong bonds with teammates."
