Brewer Rejoins Women's Soccer Program

MALIBU, Calif. – Former Pepperdine women’s soccer standout Jennifer Brewer has rejoined the program as an assistant coach, head coach Tim Ward announced today.

Brewer played for the Waves from 2003-06 and graduated with a degree in business administration in 2007. As a starting forward and a team captain, she had career totals of 13 goals and three assists for 29 points. She appeared on three NCAA Tournament teams, including the Waves’ squad in 2005 that reached the Sweet 16.

“I am passionate about the game of soccer and I felt this job would be a great way for me to stay involved in the sport,” Brewer said. “When Tim offered me the position, I felt that I could not refuse. To be back at Pepperdine is amazing. I had four fantastic years here as a student and it is truly an honor to be coaching at the program that brought me so much joy. Hopefully I can return the favor to these girls so that their Pepperdine experience may be as memorable as mine.”

Brewer was a coach/counselor for the Malibu Soccer Academy the past four years.

“We are incredibly excited to have Jen return to Pepperdine as part of our soccer staff,” said Ward, who is also assisted by Twila Kaufman. “Jen’s intimate knowledge of the standards, expectations and best traditions of Pepperdine soccer will help our current players and staff push toward the next level of excellence on the national soccer scene.”

A native of La Mirada, Calif., Brewer played at La Mirada High School and for Slammers FC and was also a member of ODP Regional and State teams.
