Women's Soccer Hosts Chinese National Team, Alumni on Saturday

MALIBU, California - The Pepperdine women's soccer team will celebrate its 25th reunion this Saturday with a home exhibition against the Chinese National Team, followed by the annual Alumni Game and a post-match alumni reception.

The fun begins this Saturday (Feb. 10) at 11 a.m. when the current Waves take on the Chinese National Team. The Alumni Game will follow at 1:15 p.m. Admission is free to the public for both games.

Later in the evening, soccer alumni are encouraged to attend a social at Stonehaus Westlake Village beginning at 5 p.m.

In its 25-year history - 24 of which head coach Tim Ward has been part of - the Pepperdine women's soccer team has won four West Coast Conference titles and advanced to the NCAA Championships 10 times. The Waves have had winning records in 19 seasons and have had 10-win campaigns 17 times.

This past fall, the Waves enjoyed one of their best seasons in program history, finishing with a #16 national ranking, a 15-3-3 overall record and a WCC title.
