MALIBU, Calif. – The West Coast Conference released the 2014 Women’s Soccer Preseason Poll and All-Conference team today and Pepperdine was tabbed fourth in the poll. The Waves’ Lynn Williams and Ally Holtz were also named to the Preseason All-Conference team.
The Waves, who finished fourth in the conference standings last season, garnered 57 points in the coaches poll. Williams and Holtz were two out of 12 players named to the All-WCC squad.
Defending conference champs BYU took first in the poll with a total of 73 points and three first place votes. Portland was tabbed second (72 points) and Santa Clara was picked third (69 points), with each school receiving three first place votes as well. San Diego picked up the final first place vote and was selected fifth in the poll with 54 points.
