CBS Sports Network to Air AVCA National Championship Special
Waves to appear on CBS Sports Network four times in the next week.

MALIBU, Calif. – The AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championship television special will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network four times in the next week, with its debut on Monday, May 26 at 4 p.m. (PT) The specials will feature the Pepperdine sand volleyball team’s title winning run in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Waves won the team championship back on May 3 with a 3-2 win over Florida State.
The first airing of the television special is scheduled for Monday, May 26 at 4 p.m. Here is the full schedule of broadcasts:

- Tuesday, May 27, 1 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, June 2, 4 p.m.

The Waves entered the AVCA National Championship as the No. 2 seed, and beat top-seeded USC and third-seeded Florida State twice to take home their second team title in three seasons.
In the pairs championship, Kellie Woolever (Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson HS) and Kelley Larsen (Jamul, Calif./Christian HS), as well as Becca Strehlow (Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson HS/UCLA) and Lara Dykstra (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union HS/Nebraska) reached the round of 16. All four picked up AVCA All-American honors.
