LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Pepperdine women’s swim team set nine more season-best times on the final day of the Arena Invitational in the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool.  Today was the final day of competition for the Waves until January, when they resume action with the Cal Lutheran Relays.

Shannon Adkins (Granite Bay, Calif./Granite Bay HS) established two new season-best times today, first in the 200 backstroke (2:13.80), then in the 400 freestyle relay where she led off with a 100 freestyle time of 55.42.

In back-to-back races, Madison Krall (Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo Centennial HS) recorded two of her fastest swims of the year. In the 200 butterfly, the senior clocked a 2:13.94. She then swam a leg in the 400 freestyle relay in a season-best time of 56.58.

In addition to Adkins and Krall, Brooke Hawley (Plano, Texas/Plano West HS) and Ashlie Benson (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville HS) also swam in the 400 freestyle relay. The quartet clocked a time of 3:45.45 – the best by Pepperdine this season.
