Waves' Season Continues With Mustang Invitational in San Luis Obispo on Friday and Saturday
Two full days of swimming and diving await the Waves at the Mustang Invitational hosted by Cal Poly this weekend.

MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's swimming and diving team gears up for perhaps the biggest meet of the 2011-12 season thus far, the Cal Poly Mustang Invitational on Nov. 11-12.
The Waves will compete in more than two dozen events in the two-day span, beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday with the 1,650 freestyle.
Divers, including Leslie Wade (Atlanta, Ga./The Lovett School), Kristin Scribner (Bonney Lake, Wash./Bonney Lake HS), Klaire Korver (Redwood City, Calif./Pinewood School) and Amber Seba (Flower Mound, Texas/Marcus HS), will compete in the 1-meter and 3-meter events on both Friday and Saturday.
The swimmers will stay equally busy, as most of the Waves are schedule to compete in a maximum six individual events.

Last season, Pepperdine scored 205 points in the team standings to finish in fifth place. The Waves lowered several season-best times at the event, and will look to continue that trend at this season's meet.
A strong crop of freshmen, who have already shown improvement during the Waves' two prior events, will likely add more points for the team at they strive to better last year's score..
