Women's Tennis in Action at SDSU Fall Tennis Classic

Malibu, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's tennis team kicked off fall action on Friday with junior Vanessa Dunlap and sophomore Alicia Poladian representing the Waves at the San Diego State Fall Tennis Classic.

Both players fell in the first round of singles, but rebounded with a 9-7 win over Justine Perl and Zoe Taylor of San Diego in doubles. The pair will face Marobela/Hagiwara in tomorrow's second round of doubles action.

Paulina Bigos of Alabama defeated Dunlap 6-3, 6-2 in the first round of singles play and was eliminated in consolation after falling to Marisa Mechem of Denver 6-3, 6-3. Poladian fell to Justine Perl of San Diego 6-1, 6-2 and will face Kaya Smole of Denver in tomorrow's consolation round.
