Offensively, she contributed three service aces against Portland, including the match clincher at the conclusion of set there.

Portland kept the score close in the opening points, but Kellie Woolever (Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson HS) served the Waves to a 4-1 run to give her team an advantage they would never relinquish. It was Hill’s sixth kill in the opening frame that lifted the Waves to the 25-18 victory.

The Waves scored the first point in set two, and rode the momentum to a 17-11 lead. The Pilots weren’t able to piece together any offensive momentum and finished the stanza with a negative hitting percentage, as the home team went on to win 25-14. Robinson landed a high-velocity serve on the line to put the 25th and final point up on the scoreboard.
